The 113th edition of the Tour de France – the second of three annual Grand Tours in road cycling — gets underway in Barcelona, Spain, on 4 July, with 184 riders from 23 teams expected to vie for the Maillot Jaune (Yellow Jersey).
The peloton – a collective name for the full field of riders – will take on a 3,320.7km (2,063 miles) challenge over 21 stages, culminating in the traditional finish on the Champs-Élysées in Paris on 26 July.
Reigning world champion Tadej Pogačar enters la Grande Boucle as the favourite to top the general classification standings, chasing a fifth win on French roads.
