More bike lanes could soon be coming to many Bay Area roadways.
On Tuesday, Caltrans released its updated Bay Area Bike Plan, which lays out how the organization hopes to transform many of the state highways in our region by adding more cycling infrastructure.
“Freeways are going where a lot of people want to go, they’re connecting city A to city B and C and D,” Caltrans spokesperson Jeff Weiss said. “And so having an alternate alongside a freeway is a real boost to people.
