BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A new city electronic bike patrol is slated to start Saturday on the Kern River Bike Path and 17 News asked people on the trail if they feel safe.
“Luckily I never had issues, the biggest issue I had actually was dogs, like loose dogs being out,” said Becca Schampp.
“Towards the end where you start getting towards the other side of town that’s when it starts getting a little scary because there is a lot of homeless people but from here onto the freeway area it’s super safe,” said Jade Gomez.
