Everything you need to know about Paris Roubaix 2026, taking place on 12th April, with the men’s and women’s races now on the same day (boo)

The best races in cycling return. On the 12th of April, Paris-Roubaix will take place across the cobbles of northern France. Yes, there’s just the one day of racing this year, organisers choosing to sidestep the weekend double-dose of action for 2026.

Inaugurated in 1896, Paris-Roubaix is one of the oldest bike races in the world, however it took until 2021 for a women’s race to be organised. Born of a familiar story involving entrepreneurial types, newspapers and money-making schemes, over time Paris-Roubaix has come to adopt monikers like the ‘Queen of the Classics’ and ‘Hell of the North’, and remains one of the most prestigious victories to take in pro bike racing.
