The Maryland Cycling Classic will return September 6 with its most stacked men’s field yet. American road stars Neilson Powless, Brandon McNulty, and Quinn Simmons line up against a deep roster of European heavyweights that include defending champion Mattias Skjelmose and former Tour de France green jersey Michael Matthews.

Organizers unveiled preliminary start lists Tuesday for the third edition of what has become America’s top one-day race.

“With seven squads that were in this year’s Tour de France, coupled with some strong Pro Series and Continental teams, this year’s line-up is stacked with the most talent the event has seen to date,” said Bobby Julich, a former elite professional who is now the men’s competition manager.
